Following on from the two excellent sponsorship deals already announced, the Fenland Grass Track Club (FGTC) is pleased to announce another exciting sponsorship package for the 2007 season.
Norcam Ltd, the multi faceted First Aid company from Walpole St Andrew, Nr Wisbech, has agreed to sponsor the youth races at all three of the FGTC meeting this season. This furthers the links between the club and Norcam who already supply the Emergency First Aid cover at all the FGTC events.
Tim Wiskin from Norcam on announcing the deal said “ Norcam is pleased to provide the Emergency First Aid cover for the FGTC meetings, but we felt as all our staff enjoyed the fast and exciting racing we would like to give something back. With the obvious enjoyment shown by all the youth riders we felt we would like to further encourage them and in the same way give our progressive & expanding company a higher profile. We hope that this link up between Norcam and FGTC leads to better things on both sides.”
The deal will involve the individual trophies presented to the first three in every youth class at each of the three FGTC meetings. There will also be an overall series winner each class with points taken from all of the meetings; this will be called the Norcam LTD Youth Challenge Series 2007. The series will be run in conjunction with the JRM 250cc Challenge Series, the Speedway Service Ltd 500cc Solo series and the Speedway Service Ltd 350cc Solo series with a presentation at the last meeting on October 14th.
Norcam Ltd is made up of Norcam Ambulance Service, Norcam Event Medical Services and Norcam First Aid Training Services. The company has come along way since being formed in 2003 by husband & wife team Tim & Claire Wiskin primarily as a First Aid training company although some freelance medical cover work was carried out as well. They were soon being asked to provide ambulance cover and by the beginning of 2004 this became the main focus of the company. Norcam Ltd is still active in training with over 1500 attendees so far on courses ranging from emergency first Aid to full technical skills. They contracts with many large companies including Tesco, Microsoft, Citibank, Unilever and Mercedes.
The range of jobs covered by Norcam Event Medical Services varies from a single first aider at a village fete to 10 ambulances and 25 staff at various sites for a large defence contractor. They have a lot of experience in the field of Motor Sports and will also offer a consultancy services when planning larger events. The ambulance service has a range of fully equipped and staffed ambulances for a variety of functions from patient transport to Private Health care contracts. Practice on the Friday will commence at 11.00 with the first race at 12.30.
The club is still looking for willing volunteers to assist the club members to put up the track and also carry out duties on the day of the meeting.
