The Fenland Grass Track Club (FGTC) has linked with the training department of the ACU (to hold a practice/training day at the Norfolk Arena, home of Kings Lynn Speedway this Sunday 1st march 2009.
The event will have riders AGED from 6 to 60+ riding solo and sidecar machines with ACU trainers in attendance to give their advice and help wherever possible.
Paul Hurry the former European Grass track Champion and British Speedway star is returning from a forced absence due to injury and will be trying out a new bike and hopefully also give some advice to the younger riders. Hopefully two of the young 250cc stars from last year Oliver Rayson and Georgie Wood will be able to gain from his vast experience.
Reigning Britsh Champions Shaun Harvey & Danny Hogg will be trying out a brand new revolutionary sidecar design with which the hope to challenge the best in Europe in 2009.
Scott Dunn & Natasha Bartlett the runners up in the championship will also be there with Alan Morgan and Jeni Cossar, and Simon Beard and Mark Kearns also in the strong 500 sidecar line up.
A large youth entry of over 20 includes many top stars for the future and also local riders looking to improve their skills
The 1000cc sidecars will see Peter Lloyd along with Mark Cossar with brother Tom in the sidecar who will be trying out a new bike and looking to get some pointers for when the 1000cc sidecars return for their championship meetings at this venue later in the year.
The action starts on track at 11:00 AM and will continue through until 3:00 PM. Spectators are welcome and there will no admission charge.
The canteen and hot refreshments will be available and Alan Bellahm will be there with the Speedway Services LTD spares van.
The venue is the Norfolk Arena, Saddlebow Road, Kings Lynn, Norfolk PE34 3AG.
